AlN Aluminium Nitride Crucible Ceramics
Aluminium Nitride, as a high temperature resistant, corrosion resistant material with excellent thermal conductivity, is used as the crucible material of choice in many industries. AlN Aluminium Nitride ceramic crucibles are one of the main series of products of HaoRui Ceramics. Currently, we are able to customise the size of the crucibles in bulk as well as individually, and the specifications of the products can be flexibly and quickly customised.
Aluminium Nitride crucibles can withstand temperatures of about 1300°C in air without overall oxidation, although the process starts after 700°C. AlN decomposes in a vacuum at 1800°C. AlN melts at 2200°C with inerting.In vacuum, AlN decomposes at 1800°C. AlN melts at 2200°C, protected by an inert atmosphere.In general, AlN products operate at temperatures of 800°C in air, 1700°C in vacuum and 2100°C in an inert atmosphere.

So what are the advantages of aluminium nitride ceramic crucible?
(1) High thermal conductivity (about 320W/m-K), close to BeO and SiC, more than 5 times that of Al2O3;
(2) Thermal expansion coefficient (4.5×10-6℃) matches Si (3.5~4×10-6℃) and GaAs (6×10-6℃);
(3) Excellent in various electrical properties (dielectric constant, dielectric loss, body resistivity, dielectric strength);
(4)Good mechanical properties, higher flexural strength than Al2O3 and BeO ceramics, and can be sintered at atmospheric pressure;
(5) High purity;
(6) Good optical transmission characteristics;
(7) Non-toxic;
(8) Can be made by casting process.
